We believe in the unlocking of the agricultural potential of countries to develop
from net importers of food to net exporters of food. We believe in the wise exploiting
of the natural resources of a country in a sustainable way to supply food to its
nation and neighbours.
We believe in the emancipation and development of communities in rural areas. People from the poverty ridden rural areas must get the opportunities to free themselves from the restrictions of not knowing and therefore not having. We have the knowledge available to transfer skills and knowledge to these communities. We are prepared to liberate these people,
via a well implemented mentorship programme, utilising the available resources
to their disposal, to be independent and self-sufficient.
Mission
The mission of Group Africa Agric is to identify, plan, implement and successfully manage Agricultural Development Projects and other Agricultural Projects in order to empower and support individuals and communities towards food security and financial independence.
Main Objectives
Group Africa Agric's main objective is to support private companies, State
organisations and communities, in agreement with their requests and requirements. To promote a positive development process,
the following have to be embraced:
- Promotion of an integrated development strategy through purposeful, relevant research and planning.
- Identification and implementation of optimal development strategies with regard to the economic resources of a region or a country.
- Actions to initiate stimulate and facilitate private sector involvement and initiatives in agricultural development.
- Skills development and empowering local communities by extending professional and technical assistance.
- Provision of assistance for the establishment of institutional substructure and infrastructure.
- Empowering communities striving towards self-reliance.
- Planning, implementing and management of Agricultural Projects.
Field of Expertise
In agriculture development the following is offered:
- Soil, climate and natural resources surveys are carried out to establish agricultural
production potential of potential project areas.
- Financial planning is done to determine the production potentials and financial viability of the project areas. Farm production plans are prepared as determined by the natural resources of the production area. Market studies and marketing strategies are considered for the agricultural operations.
- Compilation of feasibility studies of new projects.
- Compilation of viability studies of identified and existing agricultural projects.
- Implementation of agricultural projects based on approved viability studies and the management of the projects under the authorization of the involved communities and local authorities.
- Providing technical services to cover all relevant technical aspects required for successful project management regarding animal, crop and horticultural production and processing of agricultural produce.
- Management and financial services regarding day-to-day management of projects as well as long term project planning.
- Planning and development of agricultural processing plants can be carried out.
- Assistance to compile budgets of the project production and project management
activities.
- The knowledge acquired by the Team over many years will be made available to communities via a holistic
skills development program:
- Mentorship is seen as one of only a few tools available to ensure the success of community driven projects.
- Training will form a key instrument in the project development program.
- Providing technical and planning services for environmental projects.
